Food + Climate + Farming Deep Dive

What do people around the world want from the future of farming?

Deep Dive cover 3

Food system transformation is more likely to succeed where farmers and rural communities are active participants in shaping change. Yet too often, the people closest to the land have the least say in decisions that affect it.

This Deep Dive explores what emerged when citizen deliberation met farming realities at the Global Assembly on Food and Climate. It surfaces global public priorities around fairer conditions, stronger local economies and long-term investment in resilience. It draws on the Assembly's 22 Calls to Action, analysis of over 7,000 participatory processes, insights from local assemblies worldwide, and exchanges with experts.
